In one of the first rooms, I was lucky
enough to meet Takashi Koshii again. Time for a quick photo next
to his art works:

strange, strange, strange, ....

The Direktorenhaus was quite crowded, and
the bar quickly ran out of beer, glasses (any kind!), white wine, coke,
... so at 12pm, only red wine (BYO glass!), and half bottles of whiskey
were available...
Finally, some ... interesting ... art:

At the next day, the meeting time for our
artistic activities was fortunately relatively late at 10.30pm :-)
We took a double-decker bus to the area of
the former Bötzow
brewery, an area that has seen better times. Nowadays, the
buildings are landmarked and used by artists and other creative
groups. I recognized this area from the G&P event five years
ago, the "Trabi
Abi"...

Our "mission" of the day was to be active
and to create art by ourselves: The
Creative Corner. Everybody received a portfolio to store
their artworks:

First, the different stations were
explained to us:

Creating art in "Takashi Koshii" style

Cutting paper to create "Berlin 3D" art

your author hard at work (and I had managed to miss all "Lantern
crafting" events in Kindergarden :-)

...and here is the result!

Pop Art!

Takashi Koshii, Maria, and Toty
And finally, outside the building:
The "Stencil Crew" helped to decorate the large portfolio boxes.

Meanwhile, the artist special Electricity Man was distributed
among collectors and Takashi Koshii patiently signed each and every
box... Thanks so much for the friendliness!

In the afternoon, the event came to an
end, the bus took us back to our hotel! It was a great event, I
had much more fun at the Creative
Corner than I expected at the beginning. A great
experience!
Thanks a lot to everyone from the club and
from ixxalp for a smooth organization!
Here is an overview picture of all the
stuff that we received during the event:

Swatch.tv has published a nice video
from the event (hi Dennis!):
More event pictures and impressions at www.swatch.stawi.de
and fizgig.
Takashi Koshii himself has published a flickr
album from the
event! And here is his flickr
album from the exhibition at the Direktorenhaus, you can see all
the artwork there...
Thanks to Toty Booms for a few pictures.
