Swatch Club Xmas Event Venice 2015

part 5: Launch of OurSwatch Quattro at the Arsenale

After the guided city tour of Venice, we walked over to the Arsenale area of La Biennale di Venezia

We had lunch in one of the big houses at the Arsenale (Biennale College?).

Excited? :-)

The big day had finally come:   During lunch, Carlo Giordanetti presented the four musketeers (as Nick Hayek called us):  Holger (Athos), Andreas (D'Artagnan), Paco (Porthos), and Werner (Aramis).  It was time to unveil OurSwatch Quattro (SUOZ194S).

Holger gave a short explanation about the watch and afterwards, each one of us quickly explained his motif on the watch.  You can find all the details, the full story of the development of the watch, and many pictures at www.lot7.de:

In the first place, the presentation should have been during lunch on friday.  Everything had been carefully prepared but Holger had a very complicated trip to Venice on Friday morning:  First, his planned Lufthansa flight to Venice was cancelled on the evening before, due to strike.  As this was not completely unexpected, he had a plan B:  Take the Ryanair plane on 7am on Friday morning (3 hours drive to Frankfurt-Hahn!).  But due to the fog, the plane could not land in Treviso as this is a very old airport.  So his plane was rerouted to Bergamo(!!), 2,5 hours drive to Venice.  So Holger arrived too late on Friday, at around 2pm.  But Carlo saved the day and replanned the presentation for Saturday at the Arsenale.  Bravo!

The following pictures were taken by Christine Tanner, thanks a lot!

Yes, it is different but we like it :-)

Afterwards, during lunch, everyone had a chance to see the watch and the packaging upclose and in person.

You can find a few more pictures from the launch of OurSwatch Quattro here.  Don't forget to visit www.lot7.de to keep up with the latest news about the watch :-)  Thanks a lot to Swatch for the opportunity to present the watch to the Club members.
