Swatch "Over The Moon" Gold & Pioneer Event 2022

24/25-MAY-2022, Biel, Switzerland

For the first time after 2019, the traditional Gold & Pioneer Swatch Club event took place from 24 to 25-MAY in Biel, Switzerland. Swatch had invited(!) 130 Club members from 13 countries for an Over The Moon event at the Swatch HQ in Biel, Switzerland. Swatch had booked two great hotels in Neuchâtel (apparently, the hotels in Biel are not that great): **** Hotel Beaulac and ***** Hotel Beau Rivage. Both hotels are nicely located near the shore of Lake Neuchâtel with a beautiful view of the lake and the Alps... We met at noon for the registration at the hotel.

A 30 minute bus trip took us to Biel (Swatch HQ) where it was time to say "Hello again" after such a long time... Some last minute registrations at the Swatch HQ were done as well.

I have been several times to Swatch HQ before and the beautiful architecture of the building designed by Shigaru Ban continues to amaze me. Meanwhile, a great coffee table book Swatch and Omega Campus is available. Highly recommended as it has many great photos about the development process of the building and also info about other projects by Shigaru Ban.

For me, it was the first time in the 4th floor (Nicolas G. Hayek Conference Hall) of the building. It is always great to discover new sections of the building. There is one final challenge left for me: Visiting the Swatch Archive ("stock du patron") in the basement :-) Maybe it will happen one day...
