part 2: Kiosk at the Cité du Temps and a quick visit to the International Red Cross Museum and the UN
Before the start of the kiosk, we walked to the nearby Swatch store and met a familiar face who was handing out special presents: Giroscope offered specially designed bottles of fruit syrup. A nice tasting souvenir!
After a great time in the kiosk (no pictures, unfortunately!), it was time for lunch... Swatch had picked a very nice nearby location: La Brasserie des Halles de l'Ile.
At 2pm, after a refreshing lunch, it was time for the visit of two special places in Geneva. First, we went to the Musée international de la Croix-Rouge et du Croissant-Rouge (International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum). It was somewhat of a whirlwind visit as only two hours had been planned for this museum and a later visit to the UN. Even more astonishing: The bus driver was unable to find the museum (??!!?), so we had to walk a few hundred meters to the museum...
The presentation in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum was great and very interesting. Lots of interactive displays. Here are some impressions:
The registry from the last century
An impressive collection of AIDS awareness posters, from the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum in Dresden
After about one hour, we rushed across the street to the UN where we had a quick tour of the building. Fortunately, we had a much more detailed tour five years ago.

Back at the hotel: A nice car with a familiar logo (Markus!)
